We skilfully converted the interiors of eight original Pullman coaches in just twelve intensive weeks to complete the unique sleeping, dining and observation cars in time for the Royal Scotsman to begin its fully booked maiden journey on schedule and the Northern Belle (Venice Simplon Orient-Express) which tours England and Scotland, where we refurbished eight carriages including dining cars.
Both of these trains entertain guests in luxurious surroundings where the use of traditional joinery and fitting out skills extend to marquetry, veneered panels, hardwood screens and doors, brasswork, soft furnishing, carpeting and high quality furnishings.
Co-ordination with railway engineers, together with the curved construction fully utilised all of our specialist skills during a project whose demands far exceeded those of a normal shopfitting contract.
