The Considerate Constructors Scheme has announced Interserve's Cwmbran Town Centre as its 'Site of Sites' winner, topping all seven Gold Award winners to win the highest accolade.

Interserve Project Services' £12.5m redevelopment project for clients Prudential Assurance comprised over 5,000m² of retail space, public areas and parking for 800 vehicles, delivered in an environment which demanded the highest standards of customer care.

"Set amidst a bustling town centre and surrounded by busy roads, this project faced many operational constraints," says David Hardy, General Manager of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

He continues, "The project team met this challenge admirably and through their dedication, commitment and professionalism successfully completed the project with a minimum of disruption to retailers and shoppers."

The contractor made an outstanding effort and "going the extra mile" was standard procedure for this site team. Many initiatives benefiting the environment, local busisnesses and schools were implemented. High profile events involving local dignatories and a visit by Bob the Builder also enhanced the contractor's reputation among the local community.
