Interserve's associate company Khansaheb Civil Engineering LLC, (Interserve stake 45%), is one of the leading contractors in the UAE. Established in 1935, today KCE employs more than 8,000 staff and operatives - and enjoys an outstanding reputation for both building and civil engineering work.
Work has been undertaken on some of Dubai's most prestigious developments, including at Jumeirah Beach, Wafi City and the World Trade Centre. In 2005 Khansaheb completed the construction phase of the Mall of the Emirates, said at the time to be the largest shopping mall outside North America. This huge project was completed in twenty-four months and included construction of the UAE's biggest supermarket, together with more than 100 other retail outlets.
Khansaheb's specialist divisions also provide a range of services, including joinery, architectural metalwork, ceilings and building products - whilst in neighbouring Abu Dhabi, Khansaheb Hussain LLC undertakes building and civil engineering projects based around the oilfields at Buhasa, Habshan and Al Rusais.
