Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all IT services meet their agreed business led targets, within the agreed financial budget.
- Ensure that all allocated support calls are closed to the satisfaction of the end user and to a good level of quality.
- Provide day to day Support of all Application Systems across HP-UX and Win2X operating systems using SQL Server and Informix as relational databases.
- Provide project support as and when identified.
- Dealing with Application Support queries and issues that have been handed over by other support teams.
- Take ownership and responsibility of an incident from start through to a successful resolution.
- Adhering to departmental procedures for fault resolution.
- Develop sound understanding of operation and aim of each system within the company portfolio.
- Develop basic technical knowledge of each system within the company portfolio.
- Develop specialised technical knowledge of nominated area.
- Develop system analysis skills.
- Develop reporting and support documentation as necessary.

Experience
· Experience of supporting mission critical applications within a 2nd level function.
· A good understanding of database management concepts.
· Has experience of collaborating with a 1st line function.
· Experience of releasing systems changes/enhancements into a production environment.
· Experience of upgrading existing systems.
· Experience of working within both Unix and Microsoft environments
· Experience of supporting Financial/HR/Workflow systems
