Senior Quantity Surveyor

Summary of role

 

  • Manage on site surveying Teams/Team and maintain high standards and clear objectives.
  • Work closely with the Project/Construction Manager's and control the subcontractor procurement process ensuring clear communications at all times.
  • Liaise with the In-house/external design teams to achieve seamless project delivery.
  • Meet all financial and budgetary deadlines and presenting these to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Keep abreast of all legal and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure clear customer focus at all times across a contract's life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastic individual with experience of running small site based Q.S. teams ideally across mutli-site projects.
  • Ability to multi task whilst being mindful of quantity, cost and contractual risk.
  • Able to develop an excellent working relationship with all work colleagues and partners.
  • Good negotiating skills together with ability to resolve disputes demonstrating high levels of diplomacy.
  • Comfortable managing the expectations of senior management and regularly and accurately reporting back.
  • Aptitude for managing the financial aspects of projects with a good grasp of technology.
  • Undertaking annual assessment of staff directly reporting to the role.
  • Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement.

Additional information

 

This post is initially on a fixed term basis for a period of two years.  A full driving licence is required.
