To provide time and cost based planning, earned value management and risk analysis to Interserve Consulting existing client base. As a key member of the team you will also be expected to contribute to the process of continual improvement such that Interserve Consulting is able to achieve it’s full potential as a market leader in the field of Programme Management and Project Controls. The project controls engineer, will be required to implement the Interserve Consulting project controls procedures on Clients projects and programmes of work, taking responsibility for the planning and scheduling of all aspects of a project, from inception, through design, procurement, construction and on into commissioning and hand-over, you will be expected to integrate traditional construction planning techniques with earned value management, producing cost loaded schedules to predict cost and time related outcomes. On commissions where traditional construction planning tools are not appropriate you will innovate to bring new solutions to a Client’s particular challenge thus enhancing the Interserve Consulting brand. You will be expected to contribute to the process of continual improvement of our Project Control Systems, as such you will have an invaluable contribution to the working of the department. Key Tasks · Facilitation of programme/schedule definition through team workshops. · Identification and allocation of work breakdown structures. · Production of programme/schedules using industry standard software. · Input cost data into programme/schedules to produce cash flow profiles and earned value baselines. · Regular monitoring and update of programme/schedule to produce earned value data, revised forecasts and schedule dates. · Production of report as required by specific commissions. · Produce innovative solutions to serve our clients specific needs. Experience The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project delivery with a demonstrable experience in the facilitation and production of detailed programmes and work schedules you will have a good understanding of critical path scheduling, resource allocation and management, cost forecasting and earned value management. Ideally from a construction background you will be required to have an working knowledge of at least 1 of the major software packages used in the implementation of project controls (Asta Powerproject or Primavera being the preference), with a good knowledge of the other available tools.
