Junior Consultant Cost Manager

Assisting in the delivery of construction cost management and consultancy services to a wide range of clients and industry sectors.

Summary of Role

To prepare and write tender submissions

Research and collate information from the business for use in tender submissions

Provide coaching and support for other staff where appropriate

Assist in tender analysis to ensure continuous improvement

Key Tasks

  • Assist in delivery of Construction Cost Management and Consultancy services to a wide range of clients and industry sectors.
  • Assistant to Senior Cost Consultant.
  • Assist in delivery and control of high quality advice and services to our clients.
  • Assist in maintaining standards for a value for money service.
  • Assist in reporting on project progress and developing new client business.
  • Assist in delivering high quality reports, internally and externally.
  • Work to agreed targets to meet agreed programme and cost.

Services range from earliest business case through budget setting cost planning, establishing affordable value for money detailed design, risk management, whole life costing, procurement, change management and agreement of final accounts.

  • Ability to work in a team or independently;
  • Ability to train others in writing skills;
  • Ability to understand fully the clients requirements;
  • Understanding of knowledge management processes;
  • High standard of written communications;
  • Analytical skills.

 

 

Qualifications, Training and Experience
Appropriate qualifications leading towards professional qualification such as MRICS.
