IT Support Analyst

Summary of role

To Provide 1st line IT support to Interserve Project Services' 1500+ National users.

Key Responsibilities

1.       Record own track & progress to a satisfactory conclusion, end user requests for IT support (For Example :- Incident, Change, Query, Procurement).

2.       Desktop Support (ie WIN2K, WINXP, MS Office).

3.       Co-Ordination of activities with third party suppliers (For Instance: - Hardware break fix with national maintainer).

4.       First line support of Microsoft platform (Exchange 2003, Outlook, WIN2x server).

5.       First line support of CITRIX platform (PS4, NFuse, CSG).

6.       First Line Support of connectivity infrastructure (WAN, LAN, Broadband, Routers, Video Conferencing, Hubs, Switches).

7.       Project participation as required (predominately infrastructure tasks).

8.       First line support on all Technical Infrastructure.

9.       Administration activities include (but not restricted to) :- End user accounts, Inventory lifecycle(asset management) Software licensing, New equipment purchasing, KPI reporting, Documentation (technical & non-technical)

 

Key skills/experience/qualifications

 

·         Clear Communicator – particularly telephone manner

·         Self Motivated

·         Logical & Methodical approach

·         Team worker

·         Flexible

·         Excellent Customer Care Attitude

·         Similar experience of working within an IT service or help desk structure, providing telephone & desk side support services to the full spectrum of end users.

·         Essential – Microsoft WIN 2003 Server Environment, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook 2003, WIN2000 & WINXP, Citrix PS4.

·         Desirable – connectivity technologies outlined in key tasks above.
