Helpdesk Administrator

Summary of role

Directly responsible for ensuring the Helpdesk is maintained and updated, jobs are allocated, chased & all deadlines are met via communicating with the local Authority, schools, contractors & caretaking staff.

Key Responsibilities

·         Answering telephones & directing helpdesk emails to the relevant staff.

·         Putting jobs onto Helpdesk according to the Output Specification.

·         Allocation jobs to Caretakers/ Assigning job sheets.

·         Monitor & chase jobs to ensure the smooth running of the helpdesk & that deadlines are met.

·         Raise Purchase Orders & complete all related paperwork.

·         Raising Acts of Damage, chasing & passing over to Admin to file.

·         Monthly reporting to Cornwall County Council.

·         Export helpdesk & report producing.

·         Update spreadsheets with deductions.

·         Attend PMS meetings.

·         Extension requests.

·         Generating and assigning Q18’s.

·         Maintaining office filing & systems accurately & efficiently.

·         Ad hoc office duties as requested by Office Manager.

 

Key skills/experience/qualifications

 

·         Excellent organisational skills, able to work towards tight deadlines.

·         Reliable & personable with high levels of self motivation.

·         Good team player.

·         Excellent communicator .

·         High level job commitment & takes responsibility for personal development.

·         Flexible approach.

·         Good IT skills, particularly Excel & database programmes.

·         Previous helpdesk experience beneficial but not essential as training will be given.

·         Technical knowledge of maintenance matters an advantage.
