Electrical Foreman

Summary of Role

 Supervision of the Electrical team in Swansea, electrical estimation, design and on site supervision for contracts up to £10k.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational and line management of the Electrical team
  2. Implementation and management thereafter of the Department ISO9001 Quality Assurance process/procedures.
  3. Drive change, developing a flexible work ethic.
  4. Raise the departmental profile both internally and externally.
  5. Effective work/cost management.
  6. Local Occupational H & S Management inc. the production/approval of risk assessments and method statements.
  7. Electrical estimation, design and on site supervision for contracts up to £10k.
  8. Act as the link between Regional Building (the customer) and the remote management support functions (design, estimation, purchase order/invoice facilities etc) in Aldridge.
  9. The promotion of the Electrical Department to new Clients, the marketing and generation of new business within the existing client base.
  10. Ensure compliance to all relevant statutory duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act, details of which are listed within the Company's Health & Safety Policy.
  11. Attend monthly meetings in Aldridge depot to exchange ideas and interact with main office function.
  12. Check and verify inspection/testing procedures, schedules and results.
  13. Any other reasonable duties which may be requested.

 Skills & Attributes

 

·         Ability to manage and develop a team

·         Experience of conducting H&S risk assessments

·         Working knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Act

·         Estimating ability up to £20k

·         Simple design of electrical projects

·         Experience of business development.

·         Ability to manage existing client relationships

·         Commercial and financial awareness

·         Experience of implementing quality assurance procedures (ISO9001)

 

Experience & Specialist Knowledge

 

·         Familiarity with Amtech design technology

·         Familiar with QA ISO 9001

·         Working in industrial, commercial and retail environment

·         Familiar with Nuclear establishments

·         Demonstrate use of skills under JIB Technician grade.

·         City and Guilds 236 part C

·         City and Guilds 2391 initial verification, rest and inspection

·         JIB Technician grade

·         CSCS card

·         CITB safety level three
