Contracts Manager

Summary of role

 

Responsible for the successful management and outcomes of the allocated projects.  This includes; customer satisfaction, HSE results, profitability, completion on time, employee and supplier performance and the product quality of operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Contracts Manager is responsible for fulfilling the assigned activities in the appropriate process, including:

 

·         Ensuring that all projects under their supervision are properly planned, monitored and controlled.

·         Maintaining effective and long term relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors.

·         Implementing and maintaining GCC Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development etc. and acting as an exemplar of the GCC culture and values.

·         Ensuring the project teams comply with the Company's Business management System.

·         Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.

·         Reviewing methods of working, alternative materials etc in order to maximise commercial profitability.

·         Managing, supporting, mentoring and counselling members of the project teams in their personal development.

·         Undertaking annual assessments for staff directly reporting to the role.

·         Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement.

·         Providing aftercare services to the customer.

·         Maintaining and providing accurate reports to Senior Management

·         Ensuring the Project Teams have adequate resources to fulfil the requirements.

·         Supervision of A number of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.

·         Resolving staff grievances at a first level.

·         Liaison between support departments i.e. Plant, QA/QC, Planning, Design etc.

·         Any other duties relevant to the role

Relevant Experience

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience as a Site Manager or similar
  • Experience of working abroad

Additional information

 

This post is initally fixed term for a period of two years.  A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications & Specialist Skills

 

  • Degree (or equivalent) in appropriate subject
  • Professional Qualification
  • CITB Level 3 Safety Cour
