Project Services > Careers > JD APCECONSWM Assistant Project Controls Engineer Summary of role To undertake general planning project controls duties on programmes and projects delivered for Interserve Consulting’s existing client base. The Assistant Project Controls Engineer, will be required to implement the Interserve Consulting project controls procedures on Clients projects and programmes of work, working in conjunction with a Project Controls Engineer you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all aspects of a project, from inception, through design, procurement, construction and on into commissioning and hand-over, you will be expected to demonstrate a desire to develop your skills and competencies such that you will trained in all aspects of Project Controls such that you will ultimately be able to integrate traditional construction planning techniques with earned value management, producing cost loaded schedules to predict cost and time related outcomes. You will be expected to contribute to the process of continual improvement of our Project Control Systems; as such you will have an invaluable contribution to the working of the department. Key Tasks · Administration of team workshops to establish and develop the programme/schedule. · Allocation of work breakdown structures to tasks. · Production of programme/schedules using industry standard software. · In conjunction with the Project Controls Engineer input cost data into programme/schedules to produce cash flow profiles and earned value baselines. · Undertake regular monitoring and update of programme/schedule to produce earned value data, revised forecasts and schedule dates. · Produce of reports as required by specific commissions. Experience Ideally from a construction related background the successful candidate will be seeking to develop their capabilities in the traditional planning field, with a view to taking this further into Project Controls. You will have a proven record of report production and be able to demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving. Knowledge of one of the industry standard planning tools would be advantageous but is not necessary. Experience of team working essential.
