Immigration Detention Centre, Harmondsworth for UK Immigration Service
A fast track construction project for a new Immigration Detention Centre. Procured under a Design Build and Operate Contract this project necessitated the use of modular pre-fabricated construction techniques. The centre at Harmondsworth, Heathrow, accommodates up to 550 people and includes dining areas, recreational and educational facilities, a world faith centre, offices for UKIS and a court building for hearings. United Kingdom Detention Services are responsible for the operation of the facility under an eight year contract.
