Plc > Media > News > Interserve signs major Local Authority contract Interserve signs major Local Authority contract 1 Nov 2001 Interserve Plc has finalised its c.£130 million contract with Slough Borough Council for the management and delivery of maintenance and repair services. The contract duration is fourteen and a half years commencing 1st November 2001. The services to be provided to approximately 8,000 council owned homes and 70 other buildings will include maintenance, repairs, cleaning and void management, together with comprehensive refurbishment services. A total of 320 staff will transfer from the council's Direct Services Organisation to Interserve. Interserve Chairman Mike Bottjer stated: "This contract is another example of Interserve being chosen by clients for major facilities management partnering arrangements. We have the expertise, track record and financial security to deliver improvements for the council, its tenants and its employees." |
