The Sheffield Schools Phase One Project was one of the first PFI grouped schools schemes in the country and involved the design, build, finance and operation of six schools, 4 of which are secondary, one infant junior and one nursery infant.

For this project Interserve operates as The Pyramid Schools Consortium, a fully integrated in-house team delivering equity, design and construction and facilities management for a concession of 25 years from opening.

The schools became fully operational to pupils from the start of term in September 2001. Services include caretaking, catering, cleaning, security and maintenance of buildings, IT, grounds, leisure/sports facilities.
