Located at Cardiff International Airport, BAMC is a dedicated service and maintenance facility for British Airways' fleet of Boeing 747 and 777 aircraft. Interserve (Facilities Services) Ltd is responsible for virtually all of the maintenance and repair covering the entire facility - comprising a three-bay hangar, support workshops, offices and ancillary areas

Interserve's support services are vital to the smooth running of the facility, ensuring that BAMC personnel can concentrate on a quick turnaround of aircraft, as any delays could be extremely costly to British Airways.

In addition to building services and fabric maintenance, Interserve is responsible for maintaining the equipment used by the aircraft maintenance engineers.

Key Features

	Regular performance measurement and performance reviews for each area of the operation, undertaken on a monthly basis. Energy management via a Trend Building Management System (BMS) and production of monthly energy reports to aid in identification of major deviations from the norm. The Interserve Bureau is a fully accredited Trend Technology Centre (TTC) Remote monitoring of building services plant by the Interserve Bureau to reduce overall operating costs of maintenance and to eliminate non-essential out of hours call outs. Special project work where required, such as the recent conversion of a 747 maintenance bay to accommodate the recently introduced Boeing 777. Interserve was responsible for changes to the building and hangar support systems.
