Facilities Services > News > MacLellan retains partnership with the BMA MacLellan retains partnership with the BMA 11 Aug 2006 MacLellan has been awarded the contract for the British Medical Association’s London headquarters for the twelfth year running. The partnership between MacLellan and the BMA goes back to February 1994 when the contract for the offices in Tavistock Square was granted to Ramoneur before its integration into MacLellan. The substantial contract employs 30 staff and includes office and window cleaning and porterage services. MacLellan’s Chief Operating Officer for the commercial division, Tony O’Shea commented: “We are delighted by the retention of this business for another three years. It is a great achievement, and our success is largely down to the MacLellan Site Manager – Mauricio Parra and his team who run the venue on a daily basis. The site has just passed a recent Health & Safety audit with flying colours. BMA Facilities Manager, Ian Wade said: “We continue to have a great working partnership with MacLellan. All the team involved here have significantly contributed in making BMA House a highly functional and clean workplace, from the MacLellan management and support staff, right through to the cleaning operatives themselves.” MacLellan is also proud to have provided a rapid practical response to the tragic 7th July bombing which took place outside BMA House in 2005. The MacLellan site team were among the first to rush to the aid of the injured, taking doors from the building off their hinges and using them as improvised stretchers in order to help the medical teams. |
