Interservefm Wins £20m Nationwide Contract With Network Rail

17 Apr 2003

Interservefm Ltd has won a £20m contract with Network Rail for the management of corporate buildings ranging from large office blocks to small regional offices.  The contract is for three years with the option to extend for two further years, and is effective from April 2003.  Interservefm has been providing facilities management services to Network Rail since 1998.

Interservefm Managing Director Sam Maroli commented: "We are delighted to have retained the Network Rail contract for potentially another five-year period.  The new contract offers a further opportunity to build upon the solid foundations already laid down".

Services provided under the contract include building services maintenance (planned and reactive), cleaning, security, reception, catering management, mail and distribution and project management.

A facilities helpdesk will provide a central point of contact for Network Rail staff 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.  In addition to the day-to-day facilities support services, Interservefm will potentially undertake building-related projects should they arise, including refurbishments, plant upgrades and replacements and external restoration work.

Late last year, Network Rail awarded a five-year commission, valued at around £2.5m, to Interservefm to undertake property inspections of 560 stations, 840 lineside buildings and 150 signal boxes throughout the south of England.
